At BMS Micro, we specialise in providing high-quality clinical microbiology samples for quality control (QC) and External Quality Assurance (EQA) schemes. Our expertise ensures laboratories receive precisely formulated simulated clinical samples and ethically sourced real clinical material to support accurate, reliable diagnostic testing.
When we describe a sample as simulated – such as a simulated urine sample for microbiological analysis – the base material is laboratory-engineered to be indistinguishable from real patient samples. Key biological components, including white cells, red cells, and bacteria, are genuine.
For specific clinical sample types, such as nail clippings for fungal analysis, we provide exactly that – real human nail clippings, ethically donated and processed in our laboratory to contain a viable fungal component for microbiology proficiency testing.
